Betty Sue Van Houton Scott, 80, of 442 Hillside Drive Inman, South Carolina, passed away Wednesday, September 24th, at Magnolia Manor of Spartanburg,

Betty was born in Macomb, New York on March 6, 1945, a daughter of the late Jewel and Lester Van Houten. She was the wife of George William Scott who survives her of the home.

She worked as a volunteer coordinator for nursing homes and also had worked for The Wall Street Journal. She was a member of Inman United Methodist Church in Inman, South Carolina.

In addition to her husband, Betty is also survived by two sons; Randall Scott of Kings Park, New York and Glenn Scott of Rocky Point, New York, and two grandchildren; Zachary Scott and Gabriel Scott.
