Betty Jo was born in Spartanburg on January 21, 1935, a daughter of the late Cloris Mills Cantrell and Joseph Cantrell. She was the wife of James W. Morris.
Betty Jo retired from M & W Auto Sales and was also a homemaker, she loved arts and crafts and tending to her flowers in her garden. She was a member of Walnut Hill Baptist Church where she had taught Bible School, Children's Sunday School, sang in the choir, and served on numerous other committees to help serve her community.
In addition to her husband, she is also survived by two sons; Earl Morris of Inman, Joey Morris and his wife, Tammy of Inman; three brothers, Roy Cantrell of Highpoint, NC, Leland Cantrell (Joyce) of Cary, NC, Roland Cantrell (Janice) of Chesnee; two granddaughters, Heather Kerr (Anthony), Marisa Pate (John), two grandsons, Jacob Morris (Savanna), Allen Jones, and two great grandchildren; Beatrice Jo Kerr and Abraham Kerr. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by two brothers, Virgil Cantrell and Alvin Cantrell.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, November 19th at Walnut Hill Baptist Church in Campobello with Rev. Scott Lewellen officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family is at the home and will receive friends 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM Sunday at the church.
