Betty Jo Morgan, 78, of 12 West Clark Road, passed away Saturday, June 1, 2019, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Betty was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina on June 8, 1940, a daughter of the late Royce Hand and Vergie Taylor Hand. She was the widow of James Don Morgan. Mrs. Morgan was a retired detective from Spartan Detective company and a member of Una First Free Will Baptist Church.
Betty is survived by a daughter, Melissa Pressley and her husband, Jeff, of Inman, South Carolina; a son, Danny Ray Edwards and his wife, Pam, of Boiling Springs, South Carolina; four grandchildren, Brittney Hayden and her husband, Ryan; Jordan Smith,Trista Edwards and Hollie Edwards; three great-grandchildren, Everett Hayden, Hayden and Haley Gaiten. In addition to her parents and husband Mrs. Morgan was predeceased by a sister, Peggy Sims.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, June 4, 2019, at Seawright Funeral Chapel in Inman, South Carolina, conducted by Rev. Kenneth Cash. Visitation will immediately follow the service at the mortuary.
The family is at the home of the daughter and son-in-law, 174 Waterford Drive, Inman, South Carolina.
