Betty Dunaway Mitchem, 77, of 140 Downey Road passed away Wednesday, January 15th, 2014.
She was born on November 8, 1936, a daughter of the late Sudie Mae Hembree Dunaway and Earl Dunaway and was the widow of Bill Mitchem. She was a member of Caring Hearts Christian Center where she was the mother of the church. She is survived by two daughters; Debbie Mitchem and Sandra "Cindy" Pitts, and a son; Billy Mitchem, Jr. all of Inman, a brother; Doug Dunaway, Sr. of Greer, six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends Thursday 6-8:00 PM at Seawright Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Seawright Funeral Chapel at 2:00PM on Friday with Rev. Jimmy Garrett and Rev. David Carter officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. In addition to flowers memorials may be made to Caring Hearts Christian Center 965 Old Spartanburg Highway Lyman, SC 29365.
