Bess Edwards Mallory

Bess Edwards Mallory, 83, of Inman, SC, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2021, after an extended illness. Born in Spartanburg County on July 7, 1938, she was the youngest child of the late James Marvin Edwards, Sr. and Grace O'Gary Edwards. She is survived by Robert "Bob" Mallory, her husband of 57 years.

Bess worked as a registered nurse (RN) for 40 years and was a lifelong member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Spartanburg, SC, where she served as organist for many decades.

In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by her three children, Lisa Mallory, John Mallory (Jo Ella) and Brian Mallory and her granddaughter Jody Mallory. She was predeceased by three sisters, Gladys Brooks, Annie Mary Sellars and Delia Bayne, and two brothers, William Edwards and Marvin Edwards, Jr.

The funeral service will be held Sunday, November 7, 2021, at 2:00 pm in the Seawright Funeral Chapel with Rev. Monty King officiating. Receiving of friends will be prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 pm, at the funeral home. A private burial will be held in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
