Bertha Mae Revels
Mrs. Bertha Mae Price Revels, 74, of 220 Horace Drive, Spartanburg went peacefully to be with the Lord after an extended illness Sunday, July 5th, 2009 at her residence.
Mrs. Revels was born in Clinton, SC on February 6, 1935, the daughter of the late James Charles and Bonnie Mae (Dalton) Price. She was the widow of Horace Revels, Jr., a homemaker, and a Baptist.
She is survived by 4 daughters: Tammy Revels, Sharon Morgan, Evelyn Lawson and husband Johnny, all of Spartanburg, Shannon Revels and fianc Shane Gilbert of Union, 3 sons: Dean Revels and wife Glenda of Roebuck, Bobby Revels and wife Deddie of Boiling Springs, Mark Revels and wife Alicia of Chesnee, 2 sisters: Margaret Smith of Spartanburg, Louise Kyle of Boiling Springs, 1 brother: Jimmy Price of Spartanburg, 12 grandchildren: Timmy Revels, Amanda Simmons, Katina Hardin, Misty Satterfield, Jessica
Revels, Hope Revels, Dylan Revels, Colton Revels, Skyler Gilbert, Madison Gilbert, Shelbie Gilbert, Summer Gilbert, 5 great-grandchildren: Kailey Revels, Mallory Revels, Seth Hardin, Tyler Satterfield and Daniel Wofford. She was predeceased by a daughter: Darnette Revels, a sister: Mary Hawkins and a brother: James Price.
The family is at the home and will receive friends Tuesday 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Seawright Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at Seawright Funeral Chapel, Inman, SC, at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, July 8th, with Rev Leonard Griffin officiating.
Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park, Spartanburg, SC.
