Bernice Turner, 90, of 120 Hicks Drive Inman, passed away Wednesday, October 28th, at Upstate Community Hospice House in Landrum.
Bernice was born in Buncombe County, NC on September 29, 1930, a daughter of the late Evelyn Penley Ownbey and Lawrence Leroy Ownbey and was the widow of James Wesley Turner. She retired from textiles and was a member of Dove Assembly Full Gospel Church in Spartanburg.
She is survived by three daughters; Cynthia Ann Bradley and her husband Danny, Cathy Lynn Ratliff, Tammy Wabnitz and her husband Ralph, all of Inman, a son; Charles Ray Mabry of Inman, a sister; Irma Gardner of Kansas City, MO, ten grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren. She was also predeceased by one grandchild, Jessica Ann Blackwell.
Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 2nd at Good Shepherd Memorial Park in Boiling Springs with Rev. Joe Mosley and Rev. Everett Pierce officiating. The family is at the home of Heather Landrum at 205 Breckenridge Drive, Inman.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bearden-Josey Center for Breast Health 380 Serpentine Drive Spartanburg, S.C. 29303.
