Bernard Ballenger

Inman, SC---Bernard S. Ballenger, 84, of 5011 New Cut Road went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 5, 2013. Born in Inman, SC on February 8, 1928, he was the son of the late Mattie (Settle) and Paul Evan Ballenger. Mr. Ballenger was a retired carpenter and also the owner/operator of Ballenger's Peaches and was a member of Inman First Baptist Church where he served in the Winsome Sunday School Class.

He leaves to mourn one brother, Maxie (Mary) Ballenger and his beloved friend and caregiver, Zee Harmon along with three nephews and three great nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers, William Marshall Ballenger, Carroll Evan Ballenger and Charles Marion Ballenger and one sister, Sara Grace Ballenger.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 7, 2013 from 3-4PM in the Atrium of the Inman First Baptist Church. A memorial service will follow at 4 PM at Inman First Baptist Church with Dr. Paul Moore and Rev. Jeremiah Childers officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Inman First Baptist Church, Building Fund 14 N. Howard Street Inman, SC 29349.
