Barbara Elaine Smith Rutledge, 73, of 2558 Old Furnace Road, Boiling Springs, SC, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2016 at her home. Barbara was born in Spartanburg, SC on February 2, 1943, a daughter of the late Dalton I. and Hallie (Lloyd) Smith. She was the wife of Charles Rutledge, worked as a beautician and attended First Baptist Church of North Spartanburg . In addition to her husband she is survived by two sons Jeff Rutledge, of Munsford, AL; Steve Rutledge, of Villa Rica, GA; a brother, Larry Dean Smith, of Inman, eight grandchildren, Daniel, Racheal, Leah, Christopher, Cameron, Hallie, Samuel and Jordan, and four great grandchildren. The family is at the home and will receive friends, Monday, April 11, 2016 from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Seawright Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at the Seawright Funeral Chapel at 11:00 AM on Monday conducted by Rev Jeff Rutledge. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gibbs Cancer Center, 101 E. Wood Street, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
