Barbara Johnson Runion, 97, of  New Cut Road, Inman, SC passed away March 16, 2023, after a long struggle with Alzheimers.   She was born in Spartanburg County on August 3, 1925, to Boyce Lee Johnson and Mabel Pack Johnson, was the widow of the  Dalton Earl  Runion. She was also predeceased by a brother, Homer Lee Johnson, and granddaughter, Tara D. Blackwell.

Barbara was a member of Gramling United Methodist Church, where she was active in music and other ministry projects.  She attended Gramling High School, Cecil's Business College, and formerly worked as bookkeeper for Johnson Brothers Peach Farm as well as Gramling Brothers.  

She is survived by daughter, Dianne R. Blackwell, and husband Gary of Inman, and grandchildren, Chad Blackwell, Amber Blackwell-Childers (Jeremiah), and Grant Blackwell (Katie) as well as great-grandchildren, Reece Blackwell, Riley Blackwell, Rose Blackwell, Lilly Childers, Libby Blackwell, Cara Blackwell, Nellie Blackwell, Nathan Blackwell and Ransom Blackwell.  

A graveside service for family and friends will be held at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Compton Bridge Rd., at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, March 22, 2023, with The Reverend Dr. Jeremiah Childers and The Reverend Amber Blackwell-Childers officiating.  In case of inclement weather, a private family service will be held in the parlor of Inman First Baptist Church.
