Barbara J. Mullins

 Barbara J. Mullins, 87, of Spartanburg, passed away Thursday, October 17, 2024 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. 

Barbara was born in Waynesburg, KY on March 5, 1937, a daughter of the late Zula Padgett Mitchell and Edward Mitchell. She was the widower of James L. Mullins with them having celebrated 58 years of marriage before his death. She was a homemaker and was a member of the former New Life Baptist Church, where she had been very active in AWANA, Sunday School, and other church functions until her health declined.

Survivors include two sons, Terry Mullins and his wife, Theresa, of Campobello, Steven Mullins of Spartanburg, a brother, Butch Mitchell and his wife, Debra, of Cincinnati, Ohio, a sister, Edith Cooper of Cincinnati, Ohio, and a granddaughter, Hannah Mullins of Spartanburg. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also predeceased by brothers, Delbert Mitchell, Amos Mitchell, Kenneth Mitchell, and sisters, Helen Hamilton, Ruby Mitchell and Zelma Mitchell.

Funeral Services will be held 3:00 PM on Sunday, October 20th at Seawright Funeral Chapel in Inman with Pastor Peterson officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Inman. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Charles Lea Center Foundation, 195 Burdette Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
