Barbara Jean Perkins Marze, 64, of 216 Summer Meadow Trail, passed away Sunday, April 8, 2018, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Barbara was born in Fairmont, West Virginia on April 30, 1953, a daughter of the late Clarence Woodrow Perkins, Sr. and Grace Lily Carpenter Perkins. She was the wife of Donald Eugene Marze. She was the former owner and operator of Barb's Daycare.
In addition to her husband, Barbara is survived by a daughter, Kelly Miller and her husband, David of Boiling Springs, South Carolina; two sons Stephen Hartnett, Jr., of Campobello, South Carolina; Alex Cunningham and his wife, Jessica of Lyman, South Carolina; a step daughter, Shannon Marze and her husband, Matt McKenzie of Simpsonville, South Carolina; a sister, Sue Thorn and her husband, Greg of Richmond, Virginia; three brothers, Clarence W. Perkins, Jr. and his wife, Lilly of Sarasota, Florida; Bob Perkins and his wife, Lisa of Ida May, West Virginia; John Perkins, of Fairmont, West Virginia and one grandson, Jonathon Croston of Boiling Springs, South Carolina.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Marze was predeceased by a brother, Dave Perkins.
Visitation will be held Thursday, April 12, 2018, from 2:00 PM until 2:45 PM at Seawright Funeral Home.
Funeral services will follow in the Seawright Funeral Chapel at 3:00 PM on Thursday, April 12, 2018 conducted by Dr. Timothy L. Colisino.
The families are at their respective homes.
