Boyd Theron West, 84, of 4921 N. Blackstock Road, passed away Wednesday, August 7th, at his residence.
He was born in Spartanburg on August 20, 1928, a son of the late Robert and Ethel Ramsey West.
He was the husband of Irene Sawyer West and was the retired owner of West Appliances.
He served in the U.S. Army, was a member of Fairforest Masonic Lodge, and he loved his grandchildren and horses. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Eric West and his wife Lisa of Campobello; four sisters, Geneal Barnwell of Inman, Maudine Gilbert of Boiling Springs, Betty Lou Green and husband Glenn, and Linda Burns of Lake Bowen; three grandchildren, Alex West and Sara West of Campobello and Rachel McBee of Spartanburg. He was predeceased by three brothers; Bobby, Haskell, and Larry West.
Graveside services will be held at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Inman at 11:00am on Thursday, August 8th, with Rev. Gary Hensley officiating. The family is at their respective homes.
