Spartanburg, SC-- Audrey Ruth Turner, 78, of New Cut Road, Spartanburg went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 25, 2014.
Mrs. Turner was born and raised in the Pacolet Mills Community on November 1, 1935, the daughter of the late Broadus and Corrie Cleo (White) Gregory and was the wife of the late Mr. Talmadge Douglas Turner.
She was a graduate of Cecil's Business College and was a member of Parkway Free Will Baptist Church in Spartanburg where she also worked as their church secretary for over 21 years.
She is survived by her son, Tim Turner of Surfside Beach, SC; her daughter, Kim Hendrix and her husband Lane of Inman, SC; three grandchildren, Casey Turner, Brandon Hendrix and Brittany Hendrix and two great grandchildren, Elijah and Rylan Hendrix.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 28, 2014 from 5:30 - 7:00 PM at Parkway Free Will Baptist Church, 3615 Parris Bridge Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29316. A celebration of life service will follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. Mitch Edge and Dr. David Ivey officiating.
Flowers may be delivered to the church or memorials may be made to Regional Hospice, 686 Jeff Davis Dr., Spartanburg , SC 29303.
