Arvenia Searcy Price, 83, of 63 Blackstock Road, Inman, SC, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2016 at Magnolia Manor of Inman. Arvenia was born in Rutherfordton, NC on May 8, 1933, a daughter of Buford and Luraney Couch Searcy and was the widow of the late Calvin "Slim " Price. She retired from Roses and worked as a District 1 school bus aid for 7 years. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Landrum and was a former member of Hillside Baptist Church. Arvenia is survived by a daughter, Linda White (Dan), of New Prospect; two sons, Thomas Price (Brenda Ann), of Moore; Grover Price (Barbara Ann), of Campobello; a sister, Blanche Scates, of Boiling Springs; two brothers, Bobby Searcy (Marie), of Green Creek, NC; Larry Eugene Searcy (Wanda), of Inman, son-in-law, Leonard Higgins of Inman, and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Betty Lou Higgins. The family is at the home of a brother, 4330 New Cut Road, Inman will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at Seawright Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the Seawright Funeral Chapel at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 6th, with Rev Tommy Turner and Rev Joe Geddes officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
