Rev. Arden "Andy" N. Morton
Rev. Arden "Andy" N. Morton, 74, of 1067 Jenkins Street, Spartanburg, SC passed away Monday, February 25th, 2008 at his residence.
Rev. Morton was born in Coventry, NY on April 24, 1933, the son of the late Neal Ray and Rose (Strong) Morton and was the husband of Elizabeth (Harding) Morton who survives him. Other survivors include a daughter: Gail Spitznogle of Mill Springs, NC, two sons: Gary Morton of Landrum, SC, Gregg Morton of Columbia, SC, five grandchildren: Amy Morton, Laura Morton, Brittney Spitznogle, Nathan Morton, Jackson Morton and one great-granddaughter: Rylie Reid.
Rev Morton was a retired minister in the Assembly of God churches having served in three churches in New York state and was the founder of the Camping Adventures Wilderness Programs in New York.
He was a member of Bethel Assembly of God.
A memorial service will be held at Bethel Assembly of God, Spartanburg, SC, at 3:00 PM on Saturday, March 1st, with Pastor Barry Shepps and Pastor Joe Camp officiating.
The family is at the home and will receive friends Saturday 2-3 PM. at Bethel Assembly of God.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Assembly of God Missions, 561 Upper Valley Falls Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29303.
