Arbyan Hilton "Arby" Bishop, Jr., 73, of 1593 Mt. Zion Road, died Thursday, July 12, 2018, at his residence. Arby was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina on May 7, 1945, a son of the late Arbyan Hilton Bishop, Sr., and Virginia Brown Bishop. He was a retired employee with Duke Energy after 20 years of service, working as a lineman and a residential marketing representative. Mr. Bishop was a United States Air Force veteran, having served during the Vietnam War and a member of First Baptist Church of North Spartanburg. Arby is survived by a sister, Miriam Bishop Eubanks and her husband, Ken of Spartanburg, South Carolina.
In addition to his parents, Mr. bishop was predeceased by a sister, Judy Bishop Hurst.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, July 17, 2018, at Seawright Funeral Home in Inman, South Carolina , conducted by Rev. Sean Fortner.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association, 701 Grove Road, ISC-3rd Floor, Greenville, SC 29605.
