Inman, SC---Annie Mae (Tucker) Rogers of 24 Prospect St. went peacefully into the arms of Jesus surrounded by her loved ones Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2010 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Rogers was born in Landrum, SC on December 17, 1922, the daughter of the late William Henry and Mamie Bell (Dockery) Tucker. She was the loving wife of Ray C. Rogers, Sr. and had celebrated over 69 years of marriage.
She was a member of the American Legion Post 45 Ladies Auxiliary and was of the Pentecostal Faith.
Surviving in addition to her husband is a son, Ray C. Rogers, Jr. and his wife Donna of Inman, two daughters, Martha Cooper and her husband Gene also of Inman, Christi Haynes of the home, a brother Pete Tucker and his wife Beve of Nashua, New Hampshire, and a sister Thelma Metcalf of Inman. There are five grandchildren, Lisa Satterfield of Spartanburg, Rod Rogers and his wife Miranda of Moore, SC, Angie Comer and her husband Kerry, Jeremy Cooper and his wife Missy and Kennedy Haynes all of lnman. There are seven great grandchildren, Lindsey Roper, Jordan Satterfield, Ryan Rogers, Alex Rogers, Nicholas Rogers, Caroline Comer and Ashley Cooper. The family would like to give special thanks to her niece and caregiver, Cathy Anderson. Mrs. Rogers was predeceased by two brothers, Charles Tucker, an infant brother, Bill Tucker, two sisters, Margaret Hines, Juanita Lively and two infant sisters. Two grandchildren, Kip Wilson and Justin Cooper, also predeceased her.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, November 12, 2010 at the Seawright Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Jeff Cochran. A visitation will be held Friday from 2:00 - 3:00 PM at the funeral home. The family will be at her home.
