Mrs. Annie Ruth Cox, 77, of 82 N Main Street, Inman passed away Monday, September 8th, 2008 at Golden Age in Inman.
Mrs. Cox was born in Spartanburg, SC on March 18, 1931, the daughter of the late Virgil B Barnett and Ethel Austin Barnett Owens. She was the widow of William Walter Cox.
She is survived by 1 son: William Donald Cox and wife Carolyn of Lyman, 3 sisters: Mary Louise Pittman of Wellford, Katherine Sue West of Moore, Edith Elizabeth Ray of Moore, 1 granddaughter: Somer R. Houston and husband Brian of Plumas Lake, CA , she was predeceased by 3 brothers: Virgil Leroy Barnett, Thomas Eugene Barnett, and George Horry Barnett.
She retired from Springs Industries and was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church , Lyman, SC .
Funeral services will be held at Seawright Funeral Chapel, Inman, SC, at 2:00 PM on Friday, September 12th, with Rev. Douglas Stringer and Rev. Joe Geddes officiating.
Burial will be in Westwood Memorial Gardens, Spartanburg.
The family will receive friends Friday 1-2 PM at Seawright Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice ofthe Carolina Foothills, 130 Forest Glen Drive, Columbus, NC 28722.
