Annette (Rhodes) Everhart

June 23, 1932 — February 23, 2011

Inman, SC---Mrs. Annette Rhodes Everhart, 78, of 63 Blackstock Road but formerly of 12 3rd Street, Inman went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, February 23rd, 2011 at Magnolia Manor of Inman.

Born in Spartanburg, SC on June 23, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Darvin and Macie (Gladden) Rhodes and was the wife of the late Mr. Joe L. Everhart, Jr.

Mrs. Everhart was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church, where she participated in the Choir, Friendship Sunday School Class and also a variety of leadership positions including President of the UMW and also Chairman of the Council on Ministries and was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.

Mrs. Everhart retired from Mary Black Hospital where she worked as a purchasing agent for more than 20 years.

She is survived by a daughter, Tamara Gosnell of Inman; a son, Joe Everhart, III and wife Laurie of Inman; a sister, Jeanette Donnahoo of Inman and four grandchildren, January Garrity, Lindsay Gosnell, Lauren Pope and Aaron Everhart. She was predeceased by two brothers, Major Rhodes and Dusty Rhodes and one sister, Frances Brown.

The family will receive friends Thursday, February 24, 2011 from 3-4PM at Aldersgate United Methodist Church. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 PM in the church with Rev. Gary Byrd officiating. Burial will be in the Inman Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Vince Brown, Sandy Brown, Jackie Donnahoo, Jim Everhart, Jay Everhart, Aaron Everhart, Barney Gosnell.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Aldersgate United Methodist Church 690 Park Rd Inman, SC 29349 or Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, 130 Forest Glen Dr. Columbus, NC 28722.
