Anna Y Sistare

Anna Yelton Sistare, 72, of 222 Bethany Ct in Inman, passed away Thursday, April 16, 2026 at her residence.

Anna was born in Annapolis, Maryland on January 26, 1954, a daughter of the late Mary Watkins Yelton and Charles Yelton. She was the wife of Rev. James Bart Sistare III, who survives her of the home.

She taught Special Education in elementary and high school and being a pastor's wife, Anna served with her husband at numerous United Methodist churches including locally Inman United Methodist Church.

In addition to her husband, Anna is survived by a son; James David Sistare and his wife Christen of Boiling Springs, a daughter; Mary Jessica Sistare of Boiling Springs, a sister; Beth Yelton Durham of Norton, Kansas, a brother; Ronald Eugene Yelton of Belton, South Carolina, and two grandchildren; James Holden Sistare and Ellison Claire Sistare, both of Boiling Springs.

Services will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Inman United Methodist Church, 27 Bishop St., Inman, SC 29349.
