Ann Stewart Foster Powell, 78, of 63 Blackstock Rd. but formerly of Spartanburg went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 8, 2016. Born in Spartanburg County, on December 21, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Ophelia Camilla (Bryant) Foster and John Hamilton Foster and was the widow of Jimmy Gerald Powell. Mrs. Powell was employed at ESA (Emergency Services Academy) in Duncan, SC and was a member of Spartanburg First Baptist Church. Ann is survived by three sons Walter T. Bell (Kay), of Spartanburg; Keith S. Bell (Caroline), of Spartanburg; David H. Bell, of Startex; a step son, Gerald E. Powell (Lena), of Fountain Inn, SC, three granddaughters and eight great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, John H. Foster, Jr. and a step-son, Timothy R. Powell. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Rd,. Spartanburg, SC 29303. The family would like to express a special thank you to the entire staff of Magnolia Manor of Inman and Gentiva Hospice for all their love and care given to Mrs. Powell. The family will celebrate her life Tuesday, July 12, 2016 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the home of Michelle Harris, 18 Crecent Street, Lyman, SC, 29365.
