Duncan, SC
Amy (McAbee) Duncan, 82, of 403 Rowe St., passed away Tuesday, February 26th, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Duncan was born in Inman, S.C. on August 15, 1930, a daughter of the late Hugh Walter and Mamie Abernathy McAbee. She was the wife of Homer Owens and was first married to the late James Eston Duncan. She was a member of Duncan First Baptist Church and had retired from Startex Mills. She was an avid Gamecock and Atlanta Braves fan!
Mrs. Duncan was survived by one daughter, Debbie Plumley and husband Gary, three sons, Tim Duncan and wife Wendy, Roger Duncan, Kenny Duncan and wife Lynn and a brother, Freddie McAbee all of Inman, two step sons, Dennis Owens and wife Suzanne of Austin, TX, Steve Owens and wife Kim of Lyman, SC, two step daughters, Wanda Myers and husband Jeff of Lincolnton, NC, Nan Lloyd and husband Brent of Inman, There are 8 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by four sisters, Margie Bruns, Mildred Owens, Mary Reese, Nancy Wilds and one brother Walter Dean McAbee.
Funeral services will be held at Holly Springs Baptist Church at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 28th, with Pastor Lamar McAbee and Dr. Tim Clark officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, Feb. 27th from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Seawright Funeral Home.
