Alvin Eli Bishop, 79, of 302 Maple St. Lyman, passed away Monday, June 29th, 2009 at his home. Mr. Bishop was born in Inman, S.C. on October 1, 1929, the son of the late Alvin Andrew and Emma Mae (Andrews) Bishop and was the widower of Eloise Sallie (Rogers) Bishop.
He had worked at Tuck and Howell and was a member of Calvary Hill Baptist Church.
He is survived by a son, LeRoy Bishop and his wife Margaret of Norcross, Ga.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, July 2, 2009 at 10:00 AM in Fort Prince Memorial Gardens with Rev. Tim Wofford officiating.
Family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at graveside.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association, P. O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058-5216
