Alphonse James "Al" Hediger, 88, of 371 Baywood Drive, Campobello, SC, passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at his residence. Alphonse was born in St Louis, Missouri on December 11, 1929, a son of the late Helen (Peters) Hediger and Frank Hediger, Sr. He was the husband of Carol Anne (Reilly) Hediger and retired from Raytheon and the U.S. Air Force. In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons, Steven Hediger and wife Elisa, Joe Hediger and wife Debra, grandsons, Thomas Hediger, Christopher Hediger, granddaughters, Kirsten Otte and husband Joe, great granddaughter, Kendall Otte, step-sons, George Erhart and wife Diana, David Erhart and wife Susan, step-daughter, Nancy Berry and husband Randy, step-grandsons, Sam Erhart, Zach Erhart and wife Tylynn, Matthew Erhart, Eric Berry, step-granddaughters, Heather Erhart, Jessica Hale and husband Donnie, Andrea Watson and husband Ben, Grace Erhart, Jennifer Bozic and husband Thomas, step great grandsons, Paul Hale, Grant Bozic and Emmett Bozic, step great granddaughter, Gabrielle Bozic, one sister, Loretta Thompson and husband Fred. He was predeceased by a son, Thomas Hediger and five siblings. A memorial service will be held at Holly Springs Baptist Church, Inman, SC, at 2:00 PM on Friday, February 2nd, 2018 with Dr. Tim Clark officiating. The family is at their respective homes.
