Alfred Bryant Wingo, Jr., 92, of 704 Adaline Drive, Inman, SC, passed away Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Ashlan Village in Lyman. Mr. Wingo was born in Holly Springs, SC on January 7, 1925, a son of the late Nannie (Cox) Wingo and Alfred Bryant Wingo, Sr. He was the husband of Hazel Anne (Ridings) Wingo and was retired from Lyman Printing & Finishing. He was a member of First Baptist Church of North Spartanburg where he served as usher and served in the U.S. Navy in WW II. He was a Shriner and a member of the Inman Masonic Lodge #201 and the Inman American Legion Post #45. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Jo Anne Pascoe, and her husband, Bill, of Inman, South Carolina; a son, Michael Wingo, and his wife, Charlaine, of DeLand, Florida; he is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Jud Wingo, Austin Smith, Bryant Wingo, III, Hunter Smith, Sam Wingo and one great grandson, Zane Smith. He was predeceased by 2 sisters: Thelma Horton and Kathleen Bradley and a brother: Melvin Wingo. Funeral Services will be held Monday, July 3, 2017 at 3:00PM at Seawright Funeral Chapel, Inman, SC, with Dr Michael Hamlet officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Inman, SC. The family is at his home and will receive friends at the funeral home following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Inman American Legion Post #45, PO Box 627, Inman, SC 29349.
