Albert B. Tomlinson

Albert Bartow Tomlinson, 93, of 133 Bermuda Lane passed away on Friday, May 4, 2018 at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born in Olanta, SC on May 13, 1924, he was the son of the late Andrew Bartow and Etta (Mathis) Tomlinson and was the husband of the late Mrs. Betty (Settle) Tomlinson.

Mr. Tomlinson was a member of Fairforest Baptist Church where he served on the Deacon Board and as a Sunday School Teacher for many years, member of the Fairforest Masonic Lodge # 393 ,served in the United States Air force during WW II and was a farmer and worked as a salesman at Spartan Grain & Feed

He is survived by three children, Huber Tomlinson (Pattie) of Woodruff, SC, Elizabeth Hanley of Cross Anchor, SC and Andrew Tomlinson (Lynn) of Inman, SC; three sisters, Joyce Wadford of Sumter, SC, Janet Turner of Florence, SC and Judy James of Sumter, SC along with 6 grandchildren, Brooks Taylor, Jesse Hanley, Maggie Hanley, Micah Hanley, Katelynn Tomlinson and Joshua Tomlinson and three great grandchildren, Jackson Taylor, Anna Taylor and Colten Foster.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was also predeceased by one son-in-law, Mert Hanley; two sisters, Izuma Irving and Juanita Smith; four brothers, Onice Tomlinson, Theron Tomlinson, Keith Tomlinson and Randolph Tomlinson.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 7, 2018 at Fairforest Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by Rev. Danny Garrett , masonic rites by the Fairforest Lodge # 393 and military honors by the Rutherford County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
