Agnes Beatrice Skipper, 94, of 80 Deep Hollow Lane, Tryon, passed away Monday, August 24, 2015 at her residence. She was born in Polk County, NC on October 27, 1920, a daughter of the late Alma Blackwell Ridings and Joseph Ridings and was the widow of Sidney Weldon Skipper. She was a homemaker and a member of Alverson Grove Baptist Church in Inman. She is survived by two daughters; Janet Hall of Tryon, Carolyn Hall of Inman, four sons; Larry Skipper of Cross Hill, Ray Skipper of Wellford, Bobby Skipper of Chesnee, Drewey Skipper of Tryon, one brother; Paul Ridings of Boiling Springs, four sisters; Ruth Harmon of Moore, Hazel Fells of Roebuck, Dorothy Barrs of Brunswick, GA, Jeanette Bryan of Glennville, GA; seven grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and seven great great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Brenda Gail Harris.
The family is at 1331 County Line Road, Rutherfordton and will receive friends Wednesday 6:00 until 8:00. at Seawright Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held at Alverson Grove Baptist Church, 3695 Peachtree Road, Inman, at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 27th, with Rev. Kenneth Kirkley officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
