Aberdene Bishop Hawkins, 83, of 224 Park Street, Campobello, SC, passed away Wednesday, April 11th, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Spartanburg County on March 5, 1929, a daughter of the late Sena Searcy Bishop and Eugene Bishop.
She was the widow of James C. "Bill" Hawkins having celebrated over fifty years of marriage. She passed away on the same date and month as her husband who died in 1997. Mrs. Hawkins retired from Inman Mills Saybrook Plant and was a member of Rock Hill Baptist Church of Inman.
She is survived by three daughters, Joyce Elaine Laster of Boiling Springs, Sherry Wilson and husband Allen of Spartanburg, Wanda Jolley and husband Buck of Boiling Springs, a sister, Bertha Bishop McCraw of Tryon, NC; her grandchildren, Robbie Laster and wife Tammy, Traci Freeman, Nicholas Alessi and wife Catherine, Skyler Hayes and husband Chris; five great grand daughters and two great grandsons.

The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends Friday following the service at Rock Hill Baptist Church of Inman.
Funeral services will be held at Rock Hill Baptist Church of lnman at 2:00pm on Friday, April 13th, with Rev. Heyward Calvert officiating.
Burial will follow in Lake Bowen Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rock Hill Baptist Church of lnman, 2740 Bishop Road, Inman, SC 29349.
